ABOUT THE CEO/DIRECTOR OF GMYT FASHION ACADEMY
Words are nugatory in describing PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE and her indescribable value to her community and the society at large. She is the Executive Director of GMYT FASHION ACADEMY, the PRESIDENT of GMYT FOUNDATION and the CEO of GMYT AFRICAN HUMANITARIAN AWARDS. She is also a leader, an entrepreneur, a goal-getter, an icon, a philanthropist and above all a spiritually-minded person. She has an Executive Degree from LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL (OWNERS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM: OMP24). She is also an alumna of the LONDON SCHOOL OF FASHION. She is also an alumna of LASU, where she earned a Degree in Industrial Relation & Personnel Management (IRPM). She also bagged a degree from STC TRAINING CENTRE – DUBAI (UAE) in HR MANAGEMENT TRAINING. PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE also earned a Degree from MODUS ACADEMY – DUBAI (UAE) in Fashion Styling.
On the 19th of June, 2018, she was appointed as an ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER of the prestigious and highly celebrated Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award.

PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE has not only produced reputable alumni but has been able to produce prestigious female entrepreneurs that are doing very well in business. All our alumni are doing very well in business and some already own fashion academies; thus expanding our mission to create the next generation of entrepreneurs. Some of them are: CASA DEL AMO, DEGO FASHION ACADEMY, LB STITCHES, ALYPSE, ALYPSE FASHION ACADEMY, SOPHISTICATED KLOSET, NIFFERS CREATIONS, VELVET PEARL, ZING DESIGNS, PGTREND, HOUSEOFVEE, HOUSE OF DEGO, BEAUTY GREEN, BEAUTY GREEN FASHION ACADEMY, SHOP ODOT, FLOXY FIX, HOUSE OF WEALTH, SOLUCH BY SOSO, amongst others.
As the Director of GMYT FASHION ACADEMY, she has used her amazing intelligence to bring about proper organization, structure and a beautiful ambiance of the Academy. GMYT FASHION ACADEMY is packed with a whole lot of training which includes, pattern-drafting, freehand, manual and digital fashion illustration, beading, art and craft, stoning, hat and fascination making, production of liquid soaps, air-fresheners, tie and dye and among other side skills that surrounds fashion. Another very excellent gesture she has rendered is providing hostel accommodation for the students to make their lives a little easier. Annually, GMYT students graduate and are given more publicity and recognition. Grand Fashion shows (GMYT FASHION ACADEMY GRADUATION & FASHION SHOW) are also created to give students more visibility and create opportunities for students to showcase and be awarded. Another company she presides over is GMYT COUTURE that produces bespoke apparels driven by professional tailors, designers, illustrators and stylists of high standards. PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE also runs a non-profit making organization called GMYT FOUNDATION which is part of her philanthropic activities.
It is committed to economic empowerment of women through fashion. It admits women into the academy and trains them on scholarship. So far, the foundation has trained over 200 women for free. Many of our foundation students are not just graduates of the academy but are doing well in their respective fields of fashion. Some even own their fashion brands now. This year 2018, the academy trained over 86 women for free and now, PRINCESS KELECHI OGHENE is currently embarking on a campaign to train 500 women for free starting from 2019 . For years, the academy has single-handedly sponsored the foundation without external support which shows how spirited, generous and very great a woman she is. She is a great influence to thousands around the world.
